Das Cheesesteak, auch bekannt als Philadelphia cheesesteak oder Philly cheesesteak, ist eine beliebte Sandwich-Spezialität aus Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Es besteht hauptsächlich aus dünn geschnittenem Steakfleisch, das mit Käse überbacken in einem länglichen, weichen Weizenbrötchen serviert wird. Wahlweise wird das Cheesesteak, das angeblich in den 1930er Jahren von Pat and Harry Olivieri erfunden wurde[1], mit oder ohne glasierte Zwiebeln bzw. grünem Paprika angeboten.
