Der Combat sidestroke, kurz CSS , ist eine Form des Seitenschwimmens, die zur Ausbildung bei den United States Navy SEALs zählt. Einer der Vorteile der Technik besteht darin, als Schwimmer wenig gesehen zu werden. Bewerber für das United States Navy SEAL selection and training müssen 500 yards (ca. 457 m) in 12:30 Minuten schaffen.
