Hebei Spirit

Hebei Spirit ist ein in Hong Kong registrierter Öltanker.

Am 7. Dezember 2007 rammte ein antriebsloser Schwimmkran, der sich im Schlepp befand, den vor Anker liegenden Tanker. Die Unglücksstelle lag 11 km vor Küste nahe Taean. Nach der Kollision traten 10.500 Tonnen von 260.000 geladenen Tonnen Rohöl aus. Ab dem folgenden Tag erreichte der Ölteppich die Küste. [1][2][3][4] Das Schiff wurde am 24. Dezember 2007 beschlagnahmt, um die Schadensersatzforderungen durchzusetzen.[5]
