Die Igreja de São Francisco (deutsch: Kirche des heiligen Franziskus) ist eine Kirche in der zu den Welterbestätten gehörenden Altstadt[1] von Porto in Portugal. Der Bau der Kirche wurde 1383 begonnen und 1425 vollendet. Die Kirche wurde als Kirche des örtlichen Franziskanerklosters im vorwiegend im gotischen Baustil errichtet und im 17. und 18. Jahrhundert im barocken Stil weitgehend umgebaut. Das zu der Kirche gehörende Kloster wurde 1833 im Verlauf des Miguelistenkrieges zerstört. Auf dem Klostergrund wurde 1834 der Börsenpalast (Palácio da Bolsa) errichtet. Viele Veröffentlichungen über diese Kirche heben hervor, dass außergewöhnlich viele Bauelemente mit Gold überzogen wurden. Die Kirche steht zur Besichtigung offen. Sie wird zu kulturellen, jedoch nicht mehr zu religiösen Zwecken genutzt.
