Karaage (jap. 空揚(げ), dt. „chinesisches Frittieren“ oder 唐揚(げ)[1] ist japanisches frittiertes Fleisch, meist Huhn, seltener auch Meeresfrüchte,mit süßer Sojasauce.

Kleine Stückchen Fleisch mit einer Marinade aus Sojasauce, Knoblauch und Ingwer werden frittiert und mit einer Scheibe Limette oder Mayonnaise garniert.
