Lubuk Linggau ist eine indonesische Stadt im Süden der Insel Sumatra, gehört zur Provinz Sumatera Selatan (Süd-Sumatra) und liegt westlich der Provinzhauptstadt Palembang. Die Stadt hat 200.481 Einwohnern (Berechnung 2010) [1], eine Fläche von 401.50 km² und liegt auf einer Höhe von 129 m.

Die Stadt ist am Trans-Sumatra-Highway gelegen, der quer durch Sumatra von Bakauheni im Süden bis nach Banda Aceh im Norden führt. Sie grenzt im Südwesten an die Provinz Bengkulu

Die Stadt ist unterteilt in 8 Kecamatan (Unterdistrikte) und 72 Kelurahan. Die Unterdistrikte sind:

  • Lubuklinggau Selatan I
  • Lubuklinggau Selatan II
  • Lubuklinggau Timur I
  • Lubuklinggau Timur II
