Der Mount Alvernia ist mit 63 Metern der höchste Punkt des Inselstaates Bahamas. Er befindet sich auf Cat Island und auf seinem „Gipfel“ steht das Kloster The Hermitage, erbaut von einem Franziskanermönch aus Großbritannien.
