Das Pre-Yoruba-Schwert ist ein afrikanisches Schwert. Afrikanische Schwerter wurden in verschiedenen Ländern und von verschiedenen Ethnien Afrikas als Kriegs-, Jagd-, Kultur- und Standeswaffe entwickelt und genutzt. Die jeweilige Bezeichnung der Waffe bezieht sich auf eine Ausprägung dieses Waffentyps, die einer bestimmten Ethnie zugeordnet wird.

Beschreibung

Das Pre-Yoruba-Schwert hat eine gerade, zweischneidige Klinge. Die Klinge hat einen starken Mittelgrat. Die Klinge wird vom Heft an breiter und endet am Ort in zwei stumpfen, glatt abgeschnittenen Spitzen (siehe Bild Infobox). Das Heft ist glatt und am Knauf verziert gearbeitet. Das Heft und die Klinge sind in einem Stück aus Kupfer gegossen. Das Pre-Yoruba-Schwert wird von der Ethnie der Yoruba benutzt.
