Random ist eine fünfköpfige australische R&B-Band. 2005 gewann sie die erste Staffel der australischen Castingshow The X Factor.

Geschichte

Die fünf Mitglieder hatten 2004 sich im Rahmen eines Jugendtalentwettbewerbes bei einem Konzert von K-Ci and JoJo kennengelernt. Nach dem Sieg bei The X Factor erreichte die Debütsingle Put Your Hands Up im Juni 2005 Platz 7 der australischen Singlecharts. Eine Nachfolgesingle und das erste Album bestätigten diesen Erfolg nicht.
