Der Supreme Court of Appeal of South Africa (abgekürzt SCA) ist das höchste Gericht für Zivil- und Strafsachen in Südafrika. Sein Präsident ist Lex Mpati (Stand 2009). Das Gericht hat seinen Sitz in Bloemfontein. Südafrika hat daneben ein eigenes Verfassungsgericht, dessen Rechtsprechung auch für den SCA bindend ist.
Geschichte
Der SCA besteht seit 1994 und entstand mit der Verfassungsreform von 1994. Er übernimmt größtenteils die Funktionen der Appelate Division des ehemaligen Supreme Court of South Africa.
