Compound Document Format

Compound Document Formats (CDF) ist der Name einer Arbeitsgruppe des W3C. Ein aus mehreren Objekten zusammengesetztes Dokument wird auch als Verbunddokument oder Compound Document bezeichnet. In dieser Arbeitsgruppe wird die Kombination und Integration von W3C-Standards untereinander erarbeitet. Betrachtet werden zurzeit die Standards XHTML, XML Events, CSS, SVG, SMIL und XForms. Die Standards werden entweder über eine Referenz oder über Inklusion gemeinsam verwendet.
