Die Kuchenmeister GmbH ist ein deutscher Nahrungsmittelhersteller.

Gegründet wurde das Unternehmen 1884 als Bäckerei durch Julius Trockels in Soest. Nachdem der Betrieb im Zweiten Weltkrieg vollkommen zerstört wurde, erfolgte 1954 der Neuaufbau. Durch fortschreitende Automation wandelte sich das Unternehmen in den Folgejahren von einer handwerklichen Bäckerei zu einem Industrieunternehmen. Mehrere Übernahmen seit Mitte der 1990er Jahre machten die Kuchenmeister GmbH zum Marktführer in Deutschland bei Fertigkuchen, daneben ist die Kuchenmeister GmbH Weltmarktführer bei Baumkuchen und Christstollen.

Neben dem Hauptsitz in Soest wird in Duingen und Mettingen (beide Produktionsstätten kamen durch den Erwerb der „Lady Cake feine Kuchen GmbH“ von Schöller im Jahr 2000 zu Kuchenmeister), sowie in Salzkotten (2004 von der Kamps AG erworben) produziert. Mit insgesamt 850 Mitarbeitern werden dabei jährlich 85.000 Tonnen Konditorei-und Backwaren hergestellt und ein Umsatz von über 210 Millionen Euro (Stand 2008) erzielt.

Beteiligungen

  • Die Familie Trockels ist neben Kuchenmeister auch im Besitz der Audrey Cake GmbH, Sitz ebenfalls in Soest, mit Produktionsstätte in Thüle
  • Die Dan Cake A/S Kuchenbetriebe, Produktionsstätte in Give (Dänemark), sowie Wendeln Polonia, Chrzanow (Polen), wurden unter Mitwirkung einer dänischen Investorengruppe von der Kamps AG übernommen.
