Denzil Crum

Denzil Crum

Denzil E. „Denny“ Crum (* 5. März 1937 in San Fernando, Kalifornien) ist ein ehemaliger US-amerikanischer Basketballtrainer. Crum begann seine Trainerlaufbahn als Co-Trainer von John Wooden an der UCLA.

Er trainierte zwischen 1971 und 2001 die Mannschaft der University of Louisville. In den Jahren 1980 und 1986 führte er die Mannschaft zur NCAA-Meisterschaft. Am 7. Januar 1993 erreichte er seinen 500. Sieg, nur Leon Barmore gelang das in seiner Laufbahn schneller. Mit einer Gesamtbilanz von 675-295 als College-Trainer trat er am 2. März 2001 zurück.

Seit dem 9. März 1994 ist er Mitglied der Basketball Hall of Fame.
