Dese (auch Dessie) ist eine Stadt in der Region Amhara in Äthiopien, etwa 400 km nördlich von Addis Abeba gelegen.
Die Stadt liegt am nordöstlichen Ende des Hochlands von Abessinien in 2540 m Höhe. Sie ist mit 139.936 Einwohnern (2006, Prognose) eine der größten Städte des Landes. Dese teilt sich mit dem benachbarten Kombolcha einen Flughafen.
