Der Begriff Brückenseite oder englisch Doorway Page (auch Jump-Page, Satellitenseite oder Spiegelseite genannt) bezeichnet für Suchmaschinen optimierte Internetseiten ohne eigenen Inhalt, die auf die eigentliche Webpräsenz verweisen.

Durch die Brückenseiten kann eine Suchmaschinenoptimierung vorgenommen werden, ohne dass die Inhalte der eigentlichen Webpräsenz verändert werden müssen. Die Seiten werden mit Schlüsselwörtern gespickt, unter denen sie bzw. die verlinkten Seiten in Suchmaschinen gefunden werden sollen. Außerdem werden Brückenseiten benutzt, um die Linkpopularität (engl. link popularity) zu erhöhen und damit das Ranking in Suchmaschinen zu verbessern.

Eine Brückenseite hat folgende Merkmale:

  • Sie bietet Suchmaschinen Schlüsselwörter an
  • Sie fungiert nur als Zwischenseite
  • Sie leitet Besucher automatisch (z. B. mithilfe von JavaScript) auf die Hauptseiten weiter

Brückenseiten werden oft durch Skripte oder Programme automatisch in großen Mengen erzeugt. Intern werden oft Mechanismen des Crosslinking verwendet. Diese klassische Form der Brückenseite wird von den größeren Suchmaschinen oft erkannt und (als Manipulationsversuch) negativ bewertet. Es kann sogar zum Ausschluss aus dem Suchmaschinen-Index führen.
