Ed Reed

Edward Reed (* 11. September 1978 in St. Rose, Louisiana) ist ein US-amerikanischer Footballspieler, der auf der Position des Safety spielt.

Während seiner Collegezeit spielte Reed für die University of Miami. In der National Football League (NFL) spielt er bei den Baltimore Ravens, die ihn 2002 in der ersten Runde der Draft auswählten. In der Saison 2004 wurde er als Defensive Player of the Year der NFL ausgezeichnet.

Ed Reed hält mit 107 Yards den Rekord für den längsten Interception Return (23. November 2008) und mit 358 Yards den Rekord für die meisten Interception Return Yards in einer Saison (2004) in der NFL.
