Agglutinin

Die Medizin kennt Agglutinine (von lateinisch: agglutinare = anheften ) als Oberbegriff für Antikörper, die mit den Antigenen von Zellen, oder auch korpuskulären Elementen unter Agglutination (Verklumpung) reagieren. Der Begriff Hämagglutinine wird aus historischen Gründen z.T. synonym gebraucht, jedoch impliziert er ausschließlich die Verklumpung mit roten Blutkörperchen (Hämagglutination).
