Mai 1952 in Teheran) ist eine iranische Film- und Theaterschauspielerin. Ihr Filmdebüt feierte sie 1976 mit Mohammad Reza Aslanis Film Shatranje bad. Im Jahr 1979 sah sie sich gezwungen aus politischen Gründen ihr Heimatland zu verlassen und zog nach London, wo sie Politikwissenschaft studierte. Im Jahr 1987 zog sie nach Los Angeles, wo sie nach mehreren Nebenrollen und Theaterauftritten, im Jahr 2003 mit Haus aus Sand und Nebel ihren Durchbruch schaffte.
