Das Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) ist eine amerikanische Non-Profit-Organisation, die Studien zur elektrischen Energieversorgung und Umweltaspekten durchführt. EPRI mit Hauptsitzen in Palo Alto (Kalifornien) und Charlotte (North Carolina) wurde 1973 gegründet.
EPRI hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, Visionen für die Energieindustrie zu entwickeln. Es werden dabei Aspekte der Versorgungssicherheit (Unabhängigkeit von Ölimporten), der nuklearen Sicherheit und der Umweltbeeinflussung berücksichtigt. Daneben werden auch Zukunftsbilder zur Nutzung elektrischer Energie entworfen. EPRI finanziert sich über Mitgliedsbeiträge und Spenden und verfügt über Einnahmen von 276 Mio. US$ (2005).
