Erigabo (auch Erigavo geschrieben, Somali Ceerigaabo) ist eine Stadt im Norden Somalias mit ca. 35.000 Einwohnern[1]. Sie ist Hauptstadt der Region Sanaag, die zwischen Somaliland, Puntland und Maakhir umstritten ist.

Der Ort war unter britischer Kolonialverwaltung als El Dur Elan bekannt. 1920 stationierte die Royal Air Force dort 8 Flugzeuge, die im letzten Feldzug gegen die Derwische des Mohammed ibn Abdullah Hassan (1856-1920) zur Bombardierung eingesetzt wurden.[2]

Der Ort ist der Sitz vieler internationaler und lokaler NGOs. Auch manche Behörden Somalilands haben hier ihren Sitz. Erigabo verfügt über ein Krankenhaus und ein Flugfeld östlich der Stadt. Nordwestlich von Erigabo liegt der Shimbiris, die höchste Erhebung in Somalia.
