Der Ethical Consumer ist ein britisches Magazin, das viele kostenlose Schlüsselinformationen auf seiner entsprechenden Website veröffentlicht.

In seiner Selbstdarstellung beschreibt es sich als "eine alternative Verbraucherorganisation, die die sozialen und ökologischen Komponenten der Unternehmen hinter den Markennamen beobachtet".

Nach eigenen Angaben hat das Magazin sich gebildet, um für universelle Menschenrechte, Nachhaltigkeit auf ökologischer Ebene und Tierschutz zu werben, indem Verbraucher darüber informiert werden, welche Marken und Produkte ohne ethische Bedenken käuflich sind.
