European Business Council for Sustainable Energy

Das e5 - European Business Council for Sustainable Energy ist ein 1996 in Deutschland gegründeter Lobbyverband zur Förderung von Nachhaltigkeit in der Wirtschaft.

E5 setzt sich für nachhaltiges Wirtschaften in den Bereichen Energie und Klimaschutz ein und war bei der 2008 in Posen stattgefundenen UN-Klimakonferenz akkreditiert.

Im Gegensatz zu klassischen Umweltschutzorganisationen liegt bei e5 der Schwerpunkt der Arbeit auf einer Verknüpfung von wirtschaftlichen Überlegungen mit Umweltschutzgedanken.
