Europäische Wissenschaftsstiftung in Straßburg

Die Europäische Wissenschaftsstiftung, kurz EWS (englisch: European Science Foundation, ESF; französisch: Fondation européenne de la science), ist eine internationale Organisation und unabhängige Stiftung zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung. Sie wurde 1974 gegründet und hat ihren Sitz in Straßburg.

Der Europäischen Wissenschaftsstiftung gehören derzeit 76 Forschungsinstitutionen aus 29 europäischen Ländern als Mitgliedsorganisationen an; unter anderen:

Die Europäische Wissenschaftsstiftung fördert und koordiniert gemeinsame Forschungsvorhaben und wirbt auf europäischer Ebene für die Interessen der Wissenschaft.
