FamilyTreeDNA ist ein kommerzielles Unternehmen, das auf Genetische Genealogie spezialisiert und in Houston, Texas, beheimatet ist. Sie ist die weltweit größte Firma für DNA-Analysen mit über 100.000 untersuchten DNA-Proben. FamilyTreeDNA gibt an, dass sie weltweit 90% der genetischen DNA-Tests durchführen. Ihre europäische Tochtergesellschaft heißt iGENEA und ist in der Schweiz niedergelassen. FamilyTreeDNA nimmt die Dienste des Arizona Research Labs an der University of Arizona für die Extrahierung der DNA in Anspruch. Sie ist die Firma die den Begriff Aaron des Y-Chromosoms formte und die entsprechenden 12 Marker als Cohen Modal Haplotyp festlegte.
