GNOC

Das Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) (Gambisches Nationales Olympisches Komitee) ist das Nationale Olympische Komitee von Gambia. Es repräsentiert und organisiert die olympische Bewegung des westafrikanischen Staates. Das GNOC wurde 1972 als „Gambia Olympic Association“ gegründet und 1976 vom Internationalen Olympischen Komitee (IOC) aufgenommen.

Präsident ist Abdoulie Dandeh-Njie. In den Jahren 1976–1988 war Omar Sey, der ehemalige Außenminister Gambias, der Präsident des GNOC. Er half mit, dass Gambia bei den Olympischen Sommerspielen 1984 erstmals teilnehmen konnte. Seitdem nahm Gambia regelmäßig an den Olympischen Spielen teil.

Das GNOC entsandte zwei Sportler zu den Olympischen Spielen 2004.
