Gérard Prunier (* 1942) ist ein Historiker und Ostafrikaspezialist.

Gerard Prunier ist seit 1984 Wissenschaftler am Centre national de la recherche scientifique in Paris und seit 2001 Direktor des Centre Francais d`Etudes Éthiopiennes in Addis Abeba.
