Giewont

Giewont ist ein 1.895 m hoher Berg in der West-Tatra in Polen. Er wird auch der schlafende Ritter genannt und ist ein bekannter Gipfel in Polen.

Gipfelkreuz

Auf dem Gipfel steht ein 17 Meter hohes Kreuz aus Eisen. Von Zakopane aus ist er dank seiner abfallenden, sechshundert Meter hohen Nordwand besonders gut zu sehen. Östlich vom Gipfel befindet sich der Gebirgspass Szczerba.
