Goodness of Fit

Die Anpassungsgüte (engl. goodness of fit) beschreibt, wie gut ein statistisches Modell eine Menge von Beobachtungen trifft.

Das Maß der Anpassungsgüte fasst typischerweise die Diskrepanz zwischen beobachteten Werten und Werten, die man aufgrund des Modells erwartet, zusammen. Solche Maße können beim Hypothesentest verwendet werden, um zum Beispiel auf Normalität in den Residuen zu testen, um zu prüfen, ob zwei Stichproben von den gleichen Verteilungen stammen (siehe hierzu auch Kolmogorow-Smirnow-Test) oder um zu testen, ob bestimmte Häufigkeiten einer bestimmten Verteilung folgen (siehe hierzu auch Pearsons Chi-Quadrat-Test).

Beispiel

Die Chi-Quadrat-Statistik ist die Summe der durch die erwarteten Häufigkeiten geteilten quadrierten Differenzen zwischen den beobachteten und erwarteten Häufigkeiten:

 \chi^2 = \sum {\frac{(O - E)}{E}^2}

wobei:

O = beobachtete Häufigkeit
E = erwartete (theoretische) Häufigkeit

Das Ergebnis kann mit der Chi-Quadrat-Verteilung verglichen werden, um die Anpassungsgüte zu bestimmen.
