Serdar (früher bekannt als Kysyl-Arvat, Gyzylarbat, Gizil Arbat, Gızıl Arbat) ist eine Stadt in Turkmenistan.

Lage

Etwa 220 km nordwestlich der Hauptstadt Aschgabat gelegen befindet sich die Stadt am nördlichen Rand des Gebirges Kopet Dag in der Provinz Balkan welaýaty auf ca. 100 Meter über dem Meer.

Verkehr

Die Stadt ist angebunden an die Transkaspische Eisenbahn sowie die Europastraße 60 und besitzt einen Flugplatz.

Bevölkerung

Bei der Volkszählung 1995 wurden 45.500 Einwohner gezählt, was einen Zuwachs von 26,6% seit dem letzten sowjetischen Zensus 1989 ausmachte.
