Hāddsch(m.)/Hāddscha(w.) (arabisch ‏الحاجّ‎, DMG al-ḥāǧǧ, persisch ‏حاجى‎, ist ein Ehrentitel einer Person, die den Haddsch(die islamische Pilgerfahrt nach Mekka) unternommen hat. Das Wort ist in dieser Bedeutung auch Bestandteil von Eigennamen.

Auch im Griechischen und Bulgarischen existiert(e) der Ehrentitel des Haddschi. Noch heute legen zahlreiche Namen, die Χατζής (Chatzís) auf Griechisch und Хаджи (Hadzhí) auf Bulgarisch enthalten, Zeugnis ab von Pilgerfahrten griechischer Christen nach Jerusalem. Wer die Pilgerfahrt absolviert hatte, durfte sich fortan Χατζής/Хаджи nennen. Dieser Synkretismus der Kulturen existiert(e) auch in Iran. Gemeindemitglieder der iranischen Juden, die eine Pilgerfahrt nach Jerusalem unternommen haben, sind berechtigt, diesen Ehrentitel zu tragen.
