Die vier Vokalisten Delicious Kennedy (* 1970), Jamie Jones (* 1974), Tony Borowiak (* 1972) und Alfred Nevarez (* 1973) lernten sich Anfang 1994 in Kalifornien kennen. Erste Bekanntheit erlangten sie mit einer Cover-Version des Titels So Much in Love von den Tymes von 1963.

1994 erschien ihr Debüt-Album, das sich über 5 Millionen Mal verkaufte. Für den Song I Swear, der sich in Deutschland 9 Wochen auf Platz 1 der Charts behaupten konnte (USA: 11 Wochen), erhielten All-4-One 1994 außerdem eine Grammy-Auszeichnung. Der erhebliche Erfolg des ersten Albums konnte nicht verhindern, dass dessen Nachfolger And the Music Speaks 1995 kaum Beachtung erlangte.

Die beiden Alben On and On und A41 von 1998 bzw. 2002 verfehlten die US-Charts und so wurde ihr bislang letztes Album Split Personality nur auf dem asiatischen Markt veröffentlicht.
