Help Desk Institute (HDI), gegründet 1989, ist die größte Mitgliederorganisation für Unternehmen und Einzelpersonen im Bereich IT-Support und IT-Service mit Hauptsitz in Colorado Springs, USA. Nach eigenen Angaben hat sie derzeit (2006) 7500 Mitglieder.

HDI veranstaltet Kurse und Seminare und gibt Lehrbücher und Periodika wie das SupportWorld Magazine heraus. Mitglieder können Oualitätszertifikate erwerben. Eine Reihe von Preisen werden an Personen oder Organisationen verliehen, die "durch exzellente Qualität das Image der Branche verbessert haben".
