Internet Speech Audio Codec (iSAC) ist ein wideband Sprachcodec, entwickelt von Global IP Sound (GIPS). Er eignet sich für IP-Telefonie-Anwendungen und Streaming Audio. Die codierten Blöcke müssen zur Übertragung in ein geeignetes Protokoll verpackt werden, beispielsweise das RTP.
Im Unterschied zu iLBC ist dieser Codec proprietär, d.h. die Implementierung muss von GIPS lizenziert werden und der Algorithmus ist nicht zugänglich.
Er findet Verwendung in Skype, Gizmo5, Google Talk sowie evtl. bald auch in Microsoft-Produkten (MSN und Microsoft Office Real-Time Collaboration (RTC)).
iSAC ist ein wideband variable rate codec, der seine Bitrate zwischen 10 kbit/s und 32 kbit/s anpassen kann.

- Abtastfrequenz 16 kHz
- variable Bitrate mit anpassungsfähiger Paketgröße (10 kbit/s bis 32 kbit/s bzw. 30 bis 60 ms)
- Komplexität vergleichbar mit G.722.2 bei vergleichbar Bitraten
- Verzögerung des Verfahrens: Paketgröße plus 3 ms
