Im Januar 2008 öffnete[1][2] IBM Rational die Communityseite für Jazz. Erich Gamma, Leiter der Entwicklung der IDE Eclipse, stellte Jazz unter anderem 2007 auf der GI-Fachtagung "Software Engineering 2007" in Hamburg und der Softwareengineering-Messe OOP in München vor [3].
