Jerusalem Post

The Jerusalem Post ist eine israelische Tageszeitung, die in englischer Sprache erscheint. Sie wurde 1932 unter dem Namen The Palestine Post von dem amerikanischen Journalisten Gerschon Agron gegründet. Die erste Ausgabe erschien am 1. Dezember 1932. Im Jahre 1950 wurde die Zeitung in Jerusalem Post umbenannt.

Die Jerusalem Post ist der betont konservative Rivale der Haaretz. Für die Zeitung arbeitet u. a. Daniel Dagan. Der aus Wien stammende Ari Rath war langjähriger Chefredakteur.

Die Jerusalem Post ist auch außerhalb Israels weit verbreitet. In Deutschland erscheint sie wöchentlich als "International Edition". Im Internet wird sie sowohl als internationales, als auch als französisches E-Paper angeboten.
