Skender Kulenović (kyrillisch Скендер Куленовић; * 2. September 1910 in Bosanski Petrovac, Österreich-Ungarn, heute Bosnien und Herzegowina; † 25. Januar 1978 in Belgrad, heute Serbien) war ein jugoslawischer Dichter.

Skender besuchte in seiner Geburtsstadt die Grundschule. Seine Familie ist auf einmal in die Armut abgerutscht, wahrscheinlich wegen der „Agrar-Reform“. Deshalb übersiedelte er nach Travnik, dem Geburtsort seiner Mutter. Dort beendete er das Jesuiten-Gymnasium, und schon in der dritten Klasse schrieb er eine Sammlung von Sonetten genannt Ocvale Ruže („Blühende Rosen“). Nach Abschluss des Gymnasiums studierte er Rechtswissenschaften an der Universität Zagreb.

Während des Zweiten Weltkrieges nahm er am Kampf gegen die Deutschen und die Ustascha teil. Zu dieser Zeit, wie auch später, wurde er als Mitglied der Kommunistische Partei Jugoslawiens politisch aktiv.

Sein bekanntestes Lied Stojanka majka Knežopoljka (Klagelied der Mutter Stojanka), erzählt vom Massaker an serbischen Zivilisten im Kozara-Gebirge, das Deutschen und Ustascha durchgeführt haben.
