Anne Jeffreys (* 26. Januar 1923 in Goldsboro, North Carolina als Anne Carmichael) ist eine US-amerikanische Schauspielerin.

Leben und Karriere

Sie gab 1942 ihr Filmdebüt in Fuzzy jagt sich selbst. Schon bald spielte Anne Jeffreys unter anderem in Jagd auf Dillinger, Dick Tracy und Land der Hoffnung die weibliche Hauptrolle. In späteren Jahren trat sie überwiegend in Fernsehproduktionen auf. So sah man Jeffreys als Gaststar in Serien wie Baywatch, Mord ist ihr Hobby, Hotel, L.A. Law oder Falcon Crest. Für die Serie The Delphie Bureau wurde sie 1973 für den Golden Globe nominiert. Seit 1984 ist sie in unregelmäßigen Abständen als Amanda Barrington in der Seifenoper "General Hospital" zu sehen.

Sie hat einen Stern auf dem Walk of Fame (1501 Vine Street).

Anne Jeffreys war von 1945 bis 1951 mit Joseph R. Serena und von 1951 bis zu seinem Tod 2006 mit dem Schauspieler Robert Sterling verheiratet. Sie ist Mutter von drei Kindern.
