Das Linux Standard Base Developer Network (LDN) ist eine zentrale, Gemeinschaft-basierte, im Internet verfügbare Anlaufstelle für Softwareentwickler und Programmierer, in der sie für das Entwickeln von portabler Software für das Betriebssystem Linux über Distributionsgrenzen hinweg ein umfangreiches Angebot an Hilfetexten, Artikeln, Anleitungen, Referenzen, Werkzeugen usw. vorfinden.
Das LDN wurde von der Free Standards Group (FSG) und dem Verlag O'Reilly am 17. Oktober 2006 gegründet. Es wurde nach dem Vorbild des Microsoft Developer Network (MSDN) geschaffen, um Softwareentwicklern das Entwickeln von Software unter Linux zu erleichtern und ihnen eine zentrale Anlaufstelle für Informationen rund um die Linux-Entwicklung zu bieten.
Das LDN ist zwar von derselben Organisation, die auch das Linux-Standard-Base-Projekt zur Standardisierung des Linux-Betriebssystems erschaffen hat, ins Leben gerufen worden, erfüllt aber eine ganze andere Aufgabe und sollte daher nicht verwechselt werden. Die Namensähnlichkeit ist beabsichtigt.
