MRL

Ein Media Resource Locator (MRL) ist ein Identifikator, bestehend aus einer Zeichenfolge, zur eindeutigen Identifizierung von Multimedia Daten bzw. Ressourcen. Ein MRL ist ähnlich wie ein URI aufgebaut. MRLs werden z.B. in den Mediaplayern VideoLAN und Xine, wie auch im Java Media Framework (JMF) verwendet.
