Windows Live ist der Markenname einer Sammlung von Onlinediensten und sonstigen Produkten von Microsoft, die teilweise noch in der Entwicklungsphase sind.

Windows Live wird in den Microsoft Live Labs entwickelt und stellt eine grundlegende Neugestaltung und Erweiterung des Microsoft Networks MSN dar, das selbst bestehen bleiben soll. Lediglich einige Produkte wie MSN Messenger oder MSN Spaces gehören nun zum Angebot von Windows Live.

Größtenteils sind diese Produkte per Webbrowser zu erreichen. Die zu ihrer Nutzung erforderlichen Daten sowie die Daten, die der Benutzer in den Dienst eingibt, sind auf einem Remoteserver gespeichert, statt auf dem lokalen Rechner. Viele Windows-Live-Produkte verwenden auch für Web 2.0 und Soziale Software typische Technologien. Diese Art von Software soll nach Meinung einiger Datenkonzerne, wie zum Beispiel von Microsoft oder Google, die Zukunft des digitalen Arbeitens darstellen, da die Daten von überall aus erreichbar sind, ohne lokale Installation von Software.
