Maze ist eine US-amerikanische Funk-, Soul- und R&B-Gruppe der 70er und 80er Jahre.
Sie wurde unter dem Namen Raw Soul Ende der 60er Jahre von Frankie Beverly gegründet. Ihr erstes Album erschien 1977 bei Capitol. Insgesamt erschienen 10 Alben bis 1993.
Trotz des Disco-Boom zur Zeit der Gründung verweigerte sich die Gruppe dem kommerziellen Sound und blieb - zumindest bis Mitte der 80er Jahre - bei handgemachtem, organischem Soul, der besonders bei Live-Shows seine Wirkung entfaltete. US-R&B Nr. 1 Hits hatte sie mit "Back in Stride" (1985) und "Can't Get over You" (1989).
