Mizrachi

Misrachi (mizˈʀaχi, hebr. המזרחי HaMizrahi, Akronym für Merkaz Ruhani, d. h. „Religiöses Zentrum“, oder Misrach „Osten“) ist eine am 5. März 1902[1] in Vilnius von Rabbi Isaac Jacob Reines (1839–1915) gegründete orthodox-zionistische Bewegung.

Nationale Misrachi-Organisationen im deutschsprachigen Raum gibt es in München, Wien und Zürich. Misrachi Wien hat ihren Sitz im Misrachi-Haus auf dem Judenplatz. Die 1929 in Jerusalem gegründete Bne Akiwa ist die Jugendorganisation von Misrachi.

Misrachi ist nicht mit Misrachim zu verwechseln, der hebräischen Bezeichnung für orientalische Juden.
