Alonzo Mourning (* 8. Februar 1970 in Chesapeake, Virginia) ist ein ehemaliger US-amerikanischer Basketballspieler.

Ab 1992 spielte er in der US-Profiliga NBA. Vor seinem letzten Wechsel zu den Miami Heat 2004, für die er bereits von 1996–2002 spielte, ging er für Charlotte Hornets (1992–1995), und die New Jersey Nets (2003–2004) auf Körbejagd. Die Saison 2002/03 musste er aufgrund einer Nierentransplantation aussetzen.

Im Spiel gegen die Atlanta Hawks am 20. Dezember 2007 erlitt der damals 37-jährige Center einen Bänderriss im Knie und einen Abriss der Patellasehne, womit die Saison für ihn beendet war. Als Folge seines unrühmlichen Abtritts, hat er im Sommer 2008 angekündigt, seinen lange angekündigten Rücktritt vom Profisport noch einmal zu überdenken. Am 22. Januar 2009 verkündete er auf einer Pressekonferenz endgültig seinen Rücktritt vom Profi-Basketball. Am 30. März 2009, in der Halbzeit des Spiels Miami Heat gegen Orlando Magic, wurde seine Nummer 33 vergeben. Es ist die erste "retired number" in der Geschichte der Miami Heat.

Obwohl mit 2,08 m für seine Position eher klein, war Mourning lange Jahre einer der besten Center der NBA und galt Ende der 1990er regelmäßig als MVP-Kandidat. 1999 und 2000 wurde er als Defensive Player of the Year ausgezeichnet. In der Saison 2005/06 gewann er mit den Miami Heat die NBA-Meisterschaft.

Seine Karrierestatistik zeigt durchschnittlich 17,4 Punkte, 8,7 Rebounds und 2,8 Blocks in 813 Spielen (ausgenommen Playoff- und All-Star-Spiele; Stand August 2007).
