Die Lage von Musculus tarsalis superior und Musculus tarsalis inferior
Als Musculus tarsalis (M. tarsalis Müller; Müller-Muskel) bezeichnet man eine Schicht aus glatter Muskulatur, welche in die Augenlider eingelagert ist.
Man unterscheidet dabei:
- Musculus tarsalis superior: glatte Muskulatur des Oberlids
- Musculus tarsalis inferior: glatte Muskulatur des Unterlids
Die Innervation erfolgt durch Fasern des Sympathikus. Der Musculus tarsalis rafft das Ober- und Unterlid vertikal zusammen und führt so zu einer Erweiterung der Lidspalte.
