Musès

Charles Arthur Musès (* 28. April 1919 in New Jersey; † 2000) war ein US-amerikanischer Wissenschaftler und Archäologe, Chefredakteur und Gründer des Verlagshauses "Falcon's Wing Press".

Musès entdeckte 1957 in Ägypten in Dahschur eine Mastaba aus der 4. Dynastie. Die Mastaba wurde bis heute nicht identifiziert. Sein wohl bedeutendster Fund war die Entdeckung und Ausgrabung der Pyramide des Königs Ameni Qemau aus der 13. Dynastie ca. 1745 v. Chr. Neben seiner Tätigkeit in Ägypten war Dr. Musès unter anderem in Bengalen, Mittelamerika, Mexiko, dem Sudan und Sikkim archäologisch und ethnographisch tätig. 1956 wurde er vom Explorers Club zum Mitglied auf Lebenszeit ernannt. Er war ebenfalls Mitglied in der American Oriental Society und der Kanadischen Mathematical Society. Er war Mitherausgeber des "International Journal of Bio-Medical Computing" und des englischen Wissenschaftsjournals "Robotica". Musès war mit Charlotte Barth Howell verheiratet.
