Nacirema

Nacirema (rückwärts engl. american, deutsch: Amerikaner) war der Titel eines Aufsatzes in der Zeitschrift American Anthropologist von Horace Miner 1956. Er erläuterte darin die amerikanische Gesellschaft in einer Weise, wie sonst in der Ethnologie Ethnien beschrieben wurden. Er wollte damit Kritik daran üben, wie weit die Art der Beobachtung an der Realität vorbeigehe.
