Die 1961 gegründete Turkish Daily News ist die erste und zweitgrößte englischsprachige Tageszeitung in der Türkei.

Nach eigenen Angaben genießt die Zeitung ein hohes Ansehen, vor allem bei ausländischen Bewohnern der Türkei.

Seit 2000 ist die TDN Teil der Doğan Yayın Holding (Doğan Media Group), zu der unter anderem auch die türkischen Zeitungen Hürriyet, Milliyet, Posta und Radikal gehören. Der derzeitige Chefredakteur ist David Judson.
