Bezold-Jarisch-Reflex

Der Bezold-Jarisch-Reflex ist ein vom Herzmuskel ausgehender Schonreflex. Benannt wurde der Reflex nach den deutschen Physiologen Albert von Bezold (1836-1868) und Adolf Jarisch junior (1891-1965).

Bei einem Herzversagen (z. B. bei Herzinfarkt) werden die Blutgefäße erweitert (Vasodilatation). Hierdurch wird eine Senkung der Herzfrequenz (Bradykardie) und eine Erniedrigung des Blutdruckes (Hypotonie) erreicht.

Die den Reflex auslösenden Rezeptoren liegen im Herzmuskel der Herzkammern. Bei Schädigung durch z. B. chemische Stoffe, mangelnde Herzmuskeldurchblutung oder Sauerstoffunterversorgung des Herzmuskels, werden die Rezeptoren gereizt.
