Nike Air Max sind eine Serie von Laufschuhen der Firma Nike, die im Jahr 1987 begann. Als Nachfolger des Air Stab, der erstmals mit einem Air Pad versehen war, erlangten die ersten Air Max vor allem in der Hip-Hop-Szene schnell Kultstatus. In der Gabber-Szene gewannen die Schuhe einen noch viel größeren Status, da sie auch als Erkennungszeichen der Gabber gelten und ein Großteil der Gabber diese Schuhe besitzt. An dieser Beliebtheit hat sich bis heute nichts geändert. Air Max sind schon lange keine Laufschuhe mehr, sondern ein modischer Trendschuh im oberen Preissegment.

Alle Schuhe dieser Serie haben ein sichtbares Air Pad im Fersenbereich.

  • 2009 - Air Max 2009

Ende 2006 wurden die Modelle Air Max 90, Air Max 95 und Air Max 97 wiederbelebt und mit der Air Max 360 Sohlentechnologie vorgestellt.
