Oquitoa

Oquitoa ist ein Dorf im mexikanischen Bundesstaat Sonora mit 402 Einwohnern auf 636,64 km². Es liegt im Nordwesten Sonoras und grenzt im Nordosten an Atil, im Südosten an Trincheras und im Westen an Altar.

Geschichte

1689 wurde das Dorf unter dem Namen San Antonio de Oquitoa gegründet. Gründer soll der Jesuiten Missionar Eusebio Kino gewesen sein.
